The latest addition to Miami’s famous Design District, looking out across the bay and downtown, the new Gaggenau flagship pays homage to its iconic location.

The new, burgeoning, flagship concept emphasizes the locale within its interior design. As Hendrik Müller, the flagship architect explains, “Arched Volumes, influenced by Miami Art Deco, are carved into the architectural shell in which the interiors is embedded. The whole space is coated in sandy hues, drawing references to the coastal culture of Miami.” Each of the new flagships being opened around the world throughout the next few years offers a different, yet entirely Gaggenau, experience.
The Florida light floods in through two glass facades, drawing visitors towards a variety of journeys they could take. The ‘Respected by’ area celebrates artisans and producers who share Gaggenau’s absolute commitment to quality. Whereas ‘The difference’ experience immerses guests in the brand’s Black Forest heritage with an unequivocal reference to metalwork, an anvil. This is flanked on one side by elements key to the brand’s success and on the other side by a short film. The dark-stained wood cladding of ‘The difference’ connects through to an intimate wine and coffee space, complete with Salvatori marble table to gather around. This gives way to sunny, airy communal areas, with art deco influences and beach colors. These light and dark contrasts are what Hendrik is most proud of. “The connection of the bright Miami-inspired design to the references of the Black Forest origin. Two worlds merged together in a juxtaposition.”
A spacious, bright lounge area encompasses an inviting ‘Camaleonda’ design classic sofa illuminated by a pale pink, flamingo-esque light installation. The perfect venue for designers and clients to get together, it opens out onto the welcoming terrace on one side and leads into the all important main kitchen chef’s table, an island and dining area that is a vast, rough local limestone block. As well as displaying Gaggenaus within a kitchen scenario for guests to interact with, it offers an aspirational environment for visiting chefs, including those sourced through our official Michelin Guide partnership. As Heather Ryan, Gaggenau Head of North America, puts it, “To experience Gaggenau appliances is a must. Touch the quality, see the technology and innovation in action, and savor the results.”
“An exquisite respite resting high above the Miami Design District with expansive views, where one can truly experience the Gaggenau Difference.”
